SMCV100B采用最新的直接数字射频上变频技术来生成频率高达2.5GHz的输出信号。这允许在数字域中进行I/Q调制和RF信号生成,消除了传统模拟I/Q调制器常见的I/Q不平衡误差和LO泄漏。由于有了新概念,信号发生器的SSB相位噪声性能非常好。模拟混频概念用于生成2.5GHz以上的频率。

SMCV100B为内部基带信号生成提供了强大的硬件。它可以在FPGA中实时生成信号,也可以使用ARB发生器直接生成用于数字通信标准的I/Q信号。
FPGA中的实时信号生成专用于广播标准。这种技术能够连续和长时间不间断地生成用于解码的不同数据内容(音频、视频、数据、PRBS)的信号。这样的长序列对于测试调谐器的性能或EMC是必需的。
